One of the world's first cosmetics companies is Shiseido, founded in 1872. It was established by pharmacist Arinobu Fukuhara in Tokyo, based on a pharmacy. The foundational product was the skin-softening lotion Eudermine, manufactured in 1897. At that time, Asian women exclusively used white face powder. The company introduced innovative decorative cosmetics to them—a palette of 7 shades of powder that adjusted to the skin tone, and the first cream produced in Japan, Shiseido Cold Cream DeLuxe.
Today, the brand offers a multitude of comprehensive skincare lines on the cosmetics market. The main ones include Benefiance, WASO, Future Solution FX, and Essentials, which encompass products for young skin, anti-aging, environmentally friendly, sun protection, as well as premium care.
In 2018, the Shiseido Ginza Tokyo brand introduced the world to an updated makeup collection, consisting of 4 textures: gel, powder, ink, and shimmers.
