Ramon Monegal is part of the history of Barcelona and one of the most famous perfumers in Spain. He is the fourth generation of the family that founded Myrurgia S.A. Ramon studied his craft in Geneva, Grasse and Paris with very famous perfumers. In 1979 he created his first successful perfume, Alada, which continues to be the market leader for many years.
Ramon became director of a trading house in Myrurgia, developing projects licensed for Don Algodon, Massimo Dutti (Grupo Zara), Adolfo Dominguez, Julio Iglesias, Seve Ballesteros, Panama Jack, Antonio Miro. He was appointed director of Myrurgia in 1985 and later became vice-president of the group. In 2000, Antonio Puig SA acquired Myrurgia SA and was asked to stay on to develop the Myrurgia brands, as well as new ones such as Pacha and Maison Parfum. In 2008 he became independent and was still responsible for Adolfo Dominguez perfumes. In 2009, he founded his own company, Monegal Projects, with the first project being the creation of the signature brand RM (Ramon Monegal). Ramon describes his collection as “a living presence that delights the senses and exerts a personal, sublime charm. The aroma hints and bewitches, caresses the skin, envelops and evokes a reaction."
